Kasio Cup Regatta

The 1st Annual Kasio Cup is a fun-first, yet competitive, keelboat regatta at South Beach Yacht Club on March 14-15, 2026. Designed as an energetic kickoff to the sailing season, it blends two very different race formats with a playful strategic twist, drawing inspiration from formats like the Tour de France and Formula 1. The vibe is high-energy and inclusive, in the spirit of SBYC's Red Bra Regatta and Jazz Cup.

Saturday: Short-course strategy. 

Multiple short buoy races with mandatory on-the-water challenges that add a game-like strategic layer to the racing. Expect frequent starts, close maneuvers, and racing that rewards judgment and teamwork as much as raw speed. Performance across the day matters more than any single finish.

Sunday: Pursuit to McCovey Cove near Oracle Park. 

Slower boats start first on PHRF-timed intervals. The fleet compresses toward a single finish. First across the line wins.

⌚ Prizes & Awards ⌚ 

Winners won't take home luxury watches, but they will earn a rugged digital timepiece befitting true sailors. Awards for Saturday racing, the Sunday pursuit, first-time racers, and youth sailors.

The Kasio Cup welcomes both seasoned racers and newer crews. Divisions are grouped by rating and experience for safe, fair racing, and the race committee will be on the water to support first-time competitors with countdowns, flag calls, and start-line guidance.

🍀 Saturday Night 🍀 

St. Patrick's Day party from 4:30 to 9:30 pm with live music, Guinness on tap, and food and drinks all evening. Everyone is welcome: racers, families, friends, and spectators.
