home of the San Francisco Giants. The closest intersection to the Club is 2nd & King.

SBYC is generally open Friday through Sunday with special events held on other days.

We offer reciprocity to PICYA Member Clubs. Be sure to visit during the following hours to

ensure someone will be onsite to welcome you:

CLUB HOURS

Fri: 1800 - 2200

Sat: 1500 - 2200

Sun: 1400 – 1830

We are next to Oracle Ballpark overlooking the South Beach Harbor and flanked by Pier 40.

Please note: All the piers to the south of the Ferry Building at Market Street are even numbered

and the odd number piers extend from the Ferry Building to the northwest

so you won’t find us anywhere near famous Pier 39!

For those who are navigational junkies and like a good, old fashioned GPS,

 the coordinates are: 37° 46' 47.5” N — 122° 23' 16.2 ” W

And here’s a map to help guide your way…

There are lots of ways to get to the club and SBYC encourages the use of Public Transportation:

Caltrain will drop you at Fourth & King and it’s a short walk to the harbor.

Muni’s E Line and 3rd Street light rail go right past the ballpark with a stop at 2nd & King.

Seasonal ferries from Alameda/Oakland, Vallejo Oracle Park and

Larkspur Oracle Park will drop passengers nearby at the Giants Promenade.

Click here for a complete schedule.

If you’re planning on arriving on your own boat,

please be sure to connect with the South Beach Harbor office to reserve a visitor boat slip.

For those attached to their cars who plan on driving, there are several paid parking lots

and street parking located within walking distance.

Things to keep in mind as a visitor to South Beach Yacht Club:

The Club allows guests in the following quantities:

SBYC Members: 6 guests per member

SBYC Junior Members and Family Members under 21 years of age: 2 guests

SBYC Officers of the Day: 8 guests per OOD

Members of reciprocal clubs: 6 guests (limited to 2 guests on SF Giants home game days

or special events unless otherwise approved by an officer)

Boat crews: For club-organized race events, bona-fide race crew members in excess of 6

are welcome in the club. For other visits by boat involving crews in excess of 6,

please contact the Vice Commodore, Port Captain, or Club Manager.

The nitty-gritty legalese: The Club will enforce its Bylaws, Rules and Regulations,

and Operating Procedures, and it reserves the right to deny any individual entry

or to have any individual leave the club premises at the request of the

Officer of the Day or any Flag Officer in accordance with these rules, including,

but not limited to, our policies on capacity of the clubhouse and deck,

inebriation, inappropriate or harassing conduct, and lack of proper identification or lack

of approval as a guest or member of a reciprocal club.

In addition, to comply with California's Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) rules,

all visitors to our Club must be a member-in-good-standing of a reciprocal Yacht Club,

a bona fide guest of an SBYC member, or a bona fide Guest of the Club as determined by

a Flag Officer or Officer of the Day. If you are a guest, your sponsoring member

must be physically present at the Club in order for you to be served at the bar.

All guests, including members of reciprocal clubs, must sign the SBYC guest book

and wear a guest badge. Members of reciprocal clubs should bring their membership card.

Any individual needing guest privileges in excess of the above quantities should

make arrangements in advance with the Vice Commodore.

Also, South Beach Yacht Club defines reciprocity as a written agreement between

Yacht Clubs that states that visiting members of the signatory Clubs will be provided the

same rights and privileges as our members.

This is necessary, per ABC rules, in order to serve alcohol to members of visiting Yacht Clubs.

Most Bay Area Yacht Clubs have a reciprocity agreement in place.

South Beach Yacht Club generally recognizes clubs that are members of

the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA) and Yachting Club of America (YCA).

Please contact our Commodore or the Officer of the Day on duty in the club

if you belong to a Yacht Club from outside the United States or that is not a PICYA or YCA affiliate.

We will do our best to accommodate members presenting current membership cards of bona-fide Yacht Clubs.

Please keep in mind, as a guest you will be able to make purchases with either credit cards or member approved internal charges. No cash. Thank you for your understanding.

Now that we’ve gotten all that nitty-gritty info out of the way, we look forward

to welcoming you to one of the best yacht clubs in the San Francisco Bay Area!
